Genre Lighting Research and Analysis 1
Hello, and I'm Xharia C. and welcome back to my blog and today we are going over lighting and its significance in film. I hope that whoever is reading this blog enjoys it, and now it's time to get into todays vlog.
So for some prior information I have recently changed my group to work with, so this analysis/work is from my previous group. And the Genre Lighting Research and Analysis is broken up into 3 sections, making this blog the first section. So this section is about finding the type of lighting used for certain genre of movies that pertain to our 2 minute film opening at the end of the year that we have to make. So we have to answer questions about the genre and the lighting needed for our film opening. So the following statements at the time are for my previous group. The genre of our intended film is a mixture of action, spy, and mystery. the reason why we chose such genres is that action-based movies are very upbeat can engage an audience in an up-beat way. Some themes that go with our films genre is "Countdown- Person against Time" and " revenge- Person against Person". Some tones that go with my intended film is serious, upbeat, nerve-wracking, yet calm and cool. Now for the true meat of todays blog is lighting; Some lighting techniques that best support my film opening genre conventions are Key lighting, Fill lighting, and practical light. The films at the time that I was researching and analyzing for my study is "Kim possible (2019)" and "Red Sparrow (2018)". And here's a little sample of my work, and now here is the end of todays blog.
