Film Opening Conventions and Editing in Film Group Analysis

                                               Hi there and welcome back to my blog and today we will going over an assignment in class about editing in film analysis. Now that your are informed this blog will begin.


                                               As you have read previously I will be going over an assignment called Film Opening Conventions and Editing in Film Group Analysis. Long title am I right. But this assignment was a group document about us analyzing a film opening. something we will eventually be doing by next week. So my group had the option of doing either "Forest Gump" or "The Giver" film openings. We chose to analyze The Giver my part was to analyze its sound and its significance in film in general. And as well to also define different sound effects. My partner #1 will go by member Z. Member Z was in charge of purpose of editing in film and analyzing the beats in the opening. She also did general information about the film like its release date, the characters, and even the theme of the movie based of the opening. And for my next partner which will go by member R. Member R was in charge of something similar to the rest of the parts, but she did editing in film and different sound techniques. And now that you are informed about this assignment here is a sample of the work that was done in this group analysis.

                                                Hey and welcome back to my blog. And today we'll be going over an exercise that helps us get ready for our film opening process. It is called composition in film storyboard. Composition is  the  arrangement of everything in a frame while filming. but there are different parts of composition like how it focusses on a character or even what goes on in a scene. Composition is so important because it helps guide the audience what to bring their attention to. So, we had to make 8 boxes and draw a technique that involves composition, then write a caption under it.
